When asked to explore new concepts for rich media units, there were two guidelines: display the breadth and depth of our content library and align with the current brand messaging of users having control. The concept for the mood slider was born when I realized more often than not, I choose what to watch based on my mood. My team and I pitched the idea and it got chosen for the mastheads on the most visible placements - Youtube.com & AVclub.com.
